BASIC INAUL WEAVING SKILLS TRAINING

40 Women successfully graduated the 15-day training conducted by BWC-BARMM Maguindanao at the Women Center, Buluan, Maguindanao facilitated by Maguindanao Provincial Commissioner Bai Jenna M. Lumawan. Most of the trainees are Social Welfare Committee (SWC) members with the support of Ustadza Halima Mabang, SWC Chairperson Dimakaling Province.

According to the trainor Normina from Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao who is one of the well-known weaver, the training was just basic as seen on the shawl finished products. A lot more to learn for this distinctive regalia among people of Maguindanao. The patters and its meaning are very important to be learned. Trainers will not simply learn producing this products for their livelihood but its significance and their connections concerning the ethnical identity as Maguindanaon and Iranun.
