June 3, 202 – South Upi, Maguindanao

The Office of the Chief Minister through the Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC-BARMM) in partnership with the Office of MP Bainon G. Karon visits Barangay Kuya, South Upi, to assess the status and condition of the women and their families who were displaced due to land disputes.

During the assessment, the IDPs says that they lack hygiene supplies to protect themselves from COVID virus and no clean water to drink.

This was in coordination with former BTC Commissioner for IP, Ms. Froilyn Mendoza of the Teduray Lambangian Women’s Organization and the BLGU of Kuya, South Upi.
