June 30, 2020 – Cotabato City

The Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC) and the office of MP Bainon G. Karon  as Member of the Parliament (MP) in partnership with Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) conducted a 2-day lecture series on Gender and Development Policy Making and Budgeting in preparation for the budget programming for 2021 for the ministries, offices and agencies in BARMM. It was participated by 12 ministries with attach agencies and offices.

This activity aims to raise awarenss, understanding and appreciation of Gender Responsive Policy Making and Budgeting as well as to assist the ministries, agencies and office in developing their respective 2021 GAD Plan and Budget.

The purpose of conducting this activity is to reiterate that GPB is an important component of the annual budget and Sustain commitments under the Magna Carta of Women, CEDAW, 1325 and 1820.
