Cotabato City – The Commission concluded the National Women’s Month 2024 with a memorable culmination program in Pagana Kutawato Native Restaurant (Grand Pagana Hall) on March 27, 2024. There were several highlights of the program, including the signing of the Commission’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Diploma on WPS with partners Philippines Center for Islam and Democracy (PCID) and Mindanao State University (MSU)-Maguindanao, awarding of Digital Painting Contest and Mural Painting winners, and launching of the Tarbiyyah Module for gender-responsive and good governance.
PCID President Amina Rasul Bernardo and MSU-Maguindanao Chancellor Dr. Bai Hejira Nefertiti Sinsuat Macalandong-Limbona were among the esteemed guests present at the event who delivered inspiring speeches and commended the efforts of the Bangsamoro Women Commission, particularly Chairperson Hadja Bainon G. Karon, in promoting women’s rights and empowerment. They also took part in the signing of the MOU on Diploma on WPS together with Chairperson Karon, showcasing their commitment to advancing women’s empowerment and gender equality in the Bangsamoro region.
