Davao City – Key agencies of the BARMM government convened for a 3-day strategic assessment and integration workshop to align their plans and budgets with the Bangsamoro Regional Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security (BRAP-WPS) 2023-2028.

The event, held from November 7-9, 2024, in Davao City, brought together representatives from the BARMM Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS), Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (MENRE), Ministry of Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs (MIPA), Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission (BHRC), Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA), and the Commission on Women and Youth, Children and Persons with Disabilities (CWYCPD).

The participants shared their respective programs, projects, and activities through the lens of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda. BWC Executive Director Faujiah K. Abdullah, LPT welcomed the participants to the activity and BWC Chairperson Bainon G. Karon was also present to oversee and witness the highlights of the activity.

The workshop provided a platform for the agencies to identify gaps, align their initiatives, and allocate resources to address the specific concerns of women in the Bangsamoro region.
