February 16-19, 2021 – Cotabato City

The Planning and Technical Division of Bangsamoro Women Commission facilitated the Gender Sensitivity Orientation to the members of the Joint Peace and Security Team.

The said activity was supported by the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) and it was a series of orientation conducted among the JPST Members. From first batch the participants are from IDB 1 and IDB 2, second batch is from IDB 3 and Camp Abubakar Team, third batch Team Ganassi and Talitay and fourth batch is team OpCen and Pikit.

A total of 257 members of JPST both from PNP-AFP and BIAF were actively participated.

The activity aimed to have a deeper understanding among the members of the team on the concepts of gender and its principles and in accordance with Islamic point of view.
