The Bangsamoro Women Commission together with the office of MP Bainon G. Karon and The Asia Foundation conducted the Strategic Planning Workshop of Regional Action Plan on Women Peace and Security agenda for BARMM. The said activity was attended by the members of the defunct Regional Sub-Committee on Gender and Development (RSCGAD) and selected staff from the Office of the Members of Parliament.

A total number of participants attended the Planning workshop estimated to 72 females and 11 males from the ministries, offices and BTA. The Results Framework of the said RAPWPS was presented for crafting of the Agency Specific Action Plan, a 3-year work plan that will be implemented and monitored from 2020 to 2022. The said formulation of agency action plan is subject for the final vetting of the agency ministers subject for their approval and endorsement.

The Regional Action Plan on Women Peace and Security will be launched on October 2020 in line with the celebration of the United Nation Security Council Resolution 1325 and 1820.
