Cotabato City – The recently concluded 3-day Strategic Development Plan Training Workshop, which took place at The Paragon Hotel and Restaurant from March 4-6, 2024, was a resounding success. The Commission’s technical staff engaged in a comprehensive learning experience and the skills required to develop and implement successful strategic plans for organizational growth and success.
Engr. Earl James Logarta who facilitated the activity, introductorily discussed the Principles of Strategic Plans to the group. Further, the intense training covered several facets of strategic planning in the following days, including a review of the Commission’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values; SWOT identification and analysis using Internal and External Factors Evaluation tools; and Formulation of strategic objectives and activities using different matrices.
Ex-Officio Commissioner Rodolyn P. Andres of MIPA and Office for Settler Communities (OSC) representative Ms. Rubymae Laconde were also in attendance to take part in the discussion and provide valuable insights.
The three-day Workshop was designed in an interactive manner, allowing the team to dynamically participate in discussions and hands-on activities while also expressing their viewpoints. By the end of the workshop, the team will have the tools and knowledge necessary to create and execute strategic development plans that are aligned with the Commission’s organizational objectives and BARMM government development goals, resulting in gender-responsive and sustainable growth in the region.
The workshop was funded by the Commission’s long-time development partner, Support to the Bangsamoro Transition (SUBATRA).
