Davao City – The Training of Trainers Module activity on the Bangsamoro Regional Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security, facilitated by Dr. Sittie Jehanne Mutin CES, was successfully conducted from 07-11 December 2023 at Rogen Inn, Davao City. The module was designed to enhance knowledge and skills on women, peace, and security in line with the objectives of the Bangsamoro Regional Action Plan. The training aimed to equip trainers from the Technical Team of the Commission with the necessary tools and strategies to effectively deliver training on women, peace, and security in the targeted BARMM ministries, offices, and agencies. Integrating monitoring for CSOs is also being considered to ensure effective implementation of the RAPWPS within the Bangsamoro context.
The four (4) training modules were developed based on the identified needs and priorities of the Technical Team, as well as existing international frameworks and best practices on women, peace and security. The team was divided into smaller groups to discuss and formulate the content of each module.
The UK Government through United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the long-term partner of the Commission, provided financial support for the training to ensure its successful implementation.
